Our walking festivals are the perfect way to enjoy the region - and meet some great people. Every walk has an experienced leader to keep you on track, and bring local history to life. The walks are located in some of the most beautiful countryside in the area, and are varied so you're sure to find something to suit your taste and ability. The festivals have a variety of evening entertainment, so you can really make a weekend of it!

Newton Stewart Walking Festival
This years theme is Exploring Galloway's Hills and Coast. The South of Scotland's premier walking festival offers over 25 walks over seven days, with challenges for all abilities, varying in length from 3kms to over 20kms. Explore Galloway's wild heart and undiscovered coast.
