Walking Dalbeattie Forest, Easy Access Trail Location From Dalbeattie, follow the A710, Dalbeattie Forest is on you left shortly after the town the forest car park is located on the left. Public Transport Bus Service - 501 Description Start from the car park, picnic area and the start of all the Dalbeattie Forest paths. The Easy Access Trail was created in 2001 to allow better access to the forest for people of all abilities. The Dalbeattie Forest Community Partnership, made up of representatives from the local community and agencies such as Forest Enterprise, established the path. The Partnership has been very successful in raising funds and organising work to create and improve paths in the forest. The Easy Access Trail follows a varied route through mixed woodland and open clearings and provides ample opportunity to stop and rest along the way. The route is ideal for anyone who has difficulty walking on rough ground for accompanied and more able wheelchair users and for families with off road pushchairs.
