Insider tips Walks.... Laura Parker Dumfries , null, Scotland There are great walks in the forests off the Trostan road nr New Abbey allowing great views of the Lake District hills, and opportunities to see unique butterflies. There are also lovely walks in and around New Abbey and the village also has an excellent tearoom -Abbey Tearooms. Caerlaverock point/corner also has great walks and speactacular views of the Lake District.
