Insider tips Otter's Pool, Raiders Road, New Galloway Carol Thorburn Dumfries, , Scotland The Otter's Pool on the Raider's Road near New Galloway brings me many happy memories. Myself and my family used to got there every Easter with my Cousins from Kent. It is a pretty spot with a fast flowing river that bobs in between the mini pools and rocks. This provides a great place to paddle and if you're brave, venture in the clear water and slide over the rocks!
